The Vacaville Reporter shared a wonderful article about the partnership between FSUSD, TUSD, and the Solano County Library Increasing literacy, online learning? There’s an app for that Read the article  HERE “We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with Solano County Library,” Roush also said in the prepared statement. “We share the common goals of promoting literacy; creating a community of readers; empowering individuals with free access to information; and preparing every child to lead a rich and productive life. Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Hosts Digital Bookmobile National Tour Event for their Students Event shows students how to easily borrow ebooks and audiobooks from the school’s digital library Traveling coast to coast, the Digital Bookmobile National Tour made a stop in Fairfield, California at Fairview Elementary on February 5, 2020. Fairview Elementary students learned about and accessed their school’s unique collection of ebooks and audiobooks through their classroom reading app, Sora . All students in Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District are able to use the Sora app to access ebooks and audiobooks. FSUSD Students Are Amazing Readers

Congratulations Fairfield-Suisun community! We heard that you have AMAZING READERS ! Students in our community are working hard to learn foundational reading skills that will serve as the building blocks for a lifelong love of reading and give them the ability to read to learn ! FSUSD Libraries is on a mission to promote literacy and help each student see themselves as a reader! We distributed 30 signs to our 1st and 2nd grade teachers and asked them to use the Amazing Reader sign as a way to promote literacy, celebrate accomplishments, and let students SEE THEMSELVES AS A READER . We are excited to see the signs starting to pop up in neighborhoods as a way to promote literacy and celebrate a love of reading. Grant. Teacher librarians in the district will use grant funds to start Project LIT Book Clubs for teens in the community.
